Workshop about the “Shaman” of Bad Dürrenberg
The State Office for Heritage Management and Archaeology Saxony-Anhalt organized a workshop on the Mesolithic grave of the “Shaman” of Bad Dürrenberg in May 2025. During the two-day event experts from over 30 different fields presented their findings on this remarkable prehistoric grave. Bruno Glaser, accompanied by Ryan Pearson, presented biogeochemical findings based on biomarker analyses of black carbon and steroids which were conducted together with students of the module “Soil Biogeochemical Analysis.
