Research
Before coming to Halle for my PhD, I studied biotechnology and biophysics at Yangzhou University in China. My Master project was concerned with the role of a mitogen-activated protein kinase in the response of tomato to high temperature stress. In my PhD work at the Halle Plant Nutrition Laboratory, I am exploring the function and the physiological roles of a hitherto uncharacterized manganese transport protein that is localized in the Golgi apparatus.
