Climate & soil condition:
- strongly anthropogenically influenced soils
- soil remediation after the military utilization (closure of the mental hospital around 1940)
Applications:
- biochar, compost, hydrochar (HTC), mixture of these components
- Compost, composted Hydro coal from hydrothermal carbonization and composted charcoal from pyrolysis

Experimental setup:
- 16 plots (4 treatments, 25 mg* ha -1)
- observing of changes in the microbial communities
- monitoring of earthworm distributions (bio-tolerance)
- analysis of plant properties regarding biogas potential
- influences on the carbon content of the soil, the soil characteristics and the diversity of pioneer communities
- environmental education
