For Bachelor's Students
Sachkundenachweis Pflanzenschutz
Bachelor's students of Agricultural Sciences can acquire the German “Sachkundenachweis Pflanzenschutz” (“Certificate of Expertise in Plant Protection”) with the successful completion of the course “Phytopathologie-Übungen”. This Certificate is required in Germany for anyone who handles pesticides commercially. Please see the German version for further information.
ASQ ‒ Allgemeine Schlüsselqualifikationen
A variety of Allgemeine Schlüsselqualifikationen/ASQs (“General Key Qualifications”) can be acquired as part of our Bachelor's degree programs. ASQ modules are offered by various university institutions such as the Media Competence Center, the Language Center and the Department of Speech Science and Phonetics. You can find an overview here.
Sustainable Agriculture ‒ the Special ASQ
As a self-organized student initiative, we deal with topics of sustainable agriculture in this ASQ module. In seminars, we discuss the tension between agriculture and society. A three-day final excursion gives us the opportunity to gain comprehensive practical insights in addition to theoretical input. We also organize public lecture series with people from different areas of science and business. This enables us to get to know different perspectives and enter into an exchange with all interested parties. Further information and notes on the application process can be found here . For Master's Students
Instructor Course
Master's students of Agricultural and Crop Sciences can take an instructor course that qualifies them to train on agricultural business units in Germany. For further information please see the German version.
