Symposium “Stable Construction and Automation - Innovative Solutions for Human and Animal Health in Harmony with the Environment”
On November 28, 2025, the newly founded Center for Sustainable Animal Husbandry invites you to its kick-off event “Stable Construction and Automation - Innovative Solutions for Human and Animal Health in Harmony with the Environment” (Time: 8:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m., Location: Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Leipzig, An den Tierkliniken 11, 04103 Leipzig).
The aim of the event is to define areas of action and research needs for the work of the Center for Sustainable Animal Husbandry. Registration is requested; please refer to the program for further information.
“State Parliament in Dialogue” event and meeting of the Agricultural CommitteeOn November 20, 2025, the Agricultural Committee of the Saxony-Anhalt State Parliament will hold an event entitled “Harvest? But of course! Plant protection in modern agriculture” as part of the “Landtag im Dialog” series (time: 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.; location: Von-Seckendorff-Platz 1, Room 5.10).
Prior to this, the committee will meet in a public session from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. (location: Von-Seckendorff-Platz 1, Room 5.09). Interested students and visitors are welcome to attend both events.
Event "The future of Agriculture - Ask the Minister"
The IAEW and the DiP network, together with the Ministry of Economics, Tourism, Agriculture, and Forestry of Saxony-Anhalt, invite you to a dialogue event with Agriculture Minister Sven Schulze:

Event: “User seminar on cattle – assistance systems in practice”On November 18, 2025, the “Netzwerk Fokus Tierwohl” in cooperation with the Saxon State Office for Environment, Agriculture, and Geology (LfULG) cordially invites you to attend the event “User Seminar Cattle – Assistance Systems in Practice” (Time: 9:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., Location: Agrarproduktion Kitzen e.G., Raiffeisenstraße 51, 04523 Leipzig).
Participation in the event is free of charge, but registration is requested by November 11, 2025.
Saxony-Anhalt Agriculture Day - “Agricultural diversity from soil to plate!”On November 15, 2025, the “Arbeitsgemeinschaft bäuerliche Landwirtschaft Mitteldeutschland e.V.” (Working Group for Rural Agriculture in Central Germany) and the Förderverein bäuerliche Landwirtschaft e.V. (Association for the Promotion of Rural Agriculture) will host Saxony-Anhalt Agriculture Day (time: 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., location: Riesenklein e.V. cafeteria, Hoher Weg 4, 06120 Halle).
The program includes expert presentations, practical initiatives, and discussions on climate adaptation, sustainable land use, regional supply, and agricultural policy. Cost: €20–40, including meals. Register by November 12 at sachsen-anhalt@abl-ev.de.

Agrobiodiversity Summer School on August 25, 2025On August 25, 2025, the IAEW will host the Agrobiodiversity Summer School organized by FiBL (D/CH) and ZHAW. Twenty-five international students will gather at the Research Station to learn about current issues and methods in agricultural biodiversity.
